Years ago I was playing a video game and needed a name for the avatar I was creating. My wife, who is an excellent resource for names on the fly, replied with Obatron. I've used it for most everything ever since.
While I have been using it, I have noticed others have started using it as well, so it may not always be me behind the moniker...sigh.
